What you’ll focus on in your role as Group Engineering Director at A-Gas International
You’ll provide strong leadership to a small team of senior technical experts. You’re immediate focus is to ensure that everyone has clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and is able to connect the dots in how their role ensures our engineering technology supports our Group strategy.
You’ll have the opportunity to review our Group engineering infrastructure and processes in a bid to ensure we’re set up to effectively support regional site-based engineering teams during build and deliver phases.
You’ll help us further develop our engineering dashboard, with the goal of delivering a high-level group view on key engineering projects. Multiple projects are in place across the globe, from the Netherlands and New Zealand, through to the US and wider APAC region. Your dashboard will help us monitor how they are tracking against time, resource and cost.
You’ll set governance standards at Group level and work with regional engineering teams to embed them, drive group objectives, report on regional activities and ensure there is sufficient Group-level support for the regions, fostering a collaborative approach.

Who you are
Today you’re likely to be working as a senior level engineer (mechanical, electrical, process or chemical) and managing teams of engineering/technical specialists within a mature, global, matrix management structure.
You’re people-focused and can demonstrate how you’ve built high-performing teams and developed a collaborative working culture across multiple geographies.
You’ve experience of delivering multi-million engineering projects to time and cost and bring proven project management methodologies as part of your toolkit.
You bring highly-developed interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical groups at all levels.
You bring a solutions-focused approach and can effectively move people towards a future-state, rather than focus on the problem.
