Job Description:

The Role

Fidelity is in the middle of groundbreaking transformation from a legacy / on-premise data & business intelligence environment to a modern / cloud based one. This is so transformative because it opens the door to more real-time analytics and deeper insights to deliver value for Fidelity’s 36 million individual investors.

You will work on the Business Intelligence squad within the Data and Advanced Analytics Platforms product area. You will help lead the deployment of AtScale on AWS, including semantic layer design and cube creation to enable the transition of analytics and dashboards from existing on-prem data sources to AtScale cubes sourced from Snowflake source databases. This successful candidate will also help to drive the extension of an established metrics governance program.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 10 years+ of demonstrated ability in data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence
  • 2+ years’ experience developing AtScale semantic layer and cubes
  • Acquainted with the creation and use of semantic layers and OLAP cubes (i.e., AtScale, MS SSAS, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Experience with connecting to and writing complex SQL against both cloud and on-premise relational database technologies – ideally Snowflake and Oracle
  • Track record of working with BI/Reporting toolsets including Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, etc.
  • Familiarity with using Tableau Desktop and Server technologies an added plus
  • Proficient in building and publishing customized interactive reports and dashboards
  • Must have strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of colleagues, including Product Owners and the Engineering community, to ensure the best dashboarding solutions are delivered
  • Full life-cycle methodology including change management processes and ensuring changes are properly tested and migrated to production
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile development environment using tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • History of collaboration with Data Governance teams to catalog deployed business intelligence solutions
  • Advanced degree and/or certification in relevant subject area (e.g., analytics, computer science, data science)
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills

The Team

The Analytics & Insights chapter is part of the Customer Knowledge and Strategic Insights (CKSI) domain. CKSI delivers best in class AI, analytics, research, and data to Fidelity.

As a Director of Data Analytics and Insights, you will collaborate with an existing team of passionate and hardworking cross-functional members within your team and across Fidelity's Personal Investing business and focus on the Data and Advanced Analytics Platform (DAAP) product area, also part of CKSI.

DAAP is responsible for foundational and strategic assets widely used across multiple business lines to enable analytics, personalization, AI/ML, and digital experiences.
