We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is looking to recruit a Digital Transformation and Engagement Officer in the Sandwell area.
Successful applicants must be an experience ICT professional, able to transpose working practices into efficient digital workflows.
Duties of the role include:
- Leading the delivery of the digital transformation/engagement objectives and priorities of service area and the council
- Maintaining/developing professional knowledge/skills/experience to further enhance service delivery and support colleagues both within service area and council wide.
- Leading on the development of digital platform functionality ensuring that systems are accessible to a range of audiences
- Leading the development of electronic systems to support operational efficiency within the service with service managers and colleagues
- Understanding relevant legislation/underlying concepts/principles of the specialist area
- Assisting in influencing/motivating and supervising the day to day team activities where required
- Leading on the learning/development of colleagues in relation to system use
- Delivering complicated/sensitive information to a range of audiences in support of all service area activities
- To have effective time management skills, ensuring deadlines are met
- Undertaking accurate research/analysis, supporting all service area activities
- Contributing to the implementation of creative/innovative solutions to a wide range of challengers
- Assisting with policy development/communicating policies relating to the services within the service area, including research, analysis, and supporting consultation
- Contributing ideas in the development of plans, achieving objectives to improve services
- Adopting a flexible working style to work across the broad range of areas/projects within the service area as required, working in collaboration with other team members, contributing to the day-to-day business as usual deliverable activities
- Assisting in the production/presentation of accurate/detailed/complete reports both verbally and in writing on matters relating to the service area
- Adopting a collaborative/supportive/challenging/hands-on approach in providing advice, support, and guidance to colleagues
- Reviewing performance/delivery of objectives within agreed timescales, ensuring effective remedial action if objectives appear unlikely to be met
- Any other relevant duties are required
This position is a temporary role contracted until the end of May 2023, working full time (due to the nature of the role this may be outside of regular office hours), paying £17.06ph.
