What you'll be doing
You will be joining our small team on Balfour Beatty Living Place’s Herefordshire Public Realm Service. The team manages the full range of project-level communications to build and maintain relationships with external and internal audiences to deliver an exceptional customer and colleague experience.
Your responsibilities as a Digital / Social Media Apprentice will include:
- Filming and editing video content to be shared across external social channels such as Facebook and Twitter
- Creating content to share key messages to colleagues through our internal communications channels
- Sourcing assets such as photos, videos and graphic designs to create new content with, ensuring content complies with Balfour Beatty brand guidelines.
- Researching content ideas and developing written copy for publication alongside digital content
- Innovating and presenting new content, digital and social media strategies
- Supporting the team to celebrate successes and help organise employee engagement and recognition activities
- Measuring and reporting performance of content and digital marketing campaigns against goals
- Keeping in-the-know about new social media sites, technologies, and digital trends and insights; implementing these new technologies in developing campaign content or new media channels
Who we're looking for
- You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade 4/C or above, including English, coupled with a passion for social and digital media
- You will demonstrate some technical ability with the use of video and photo editing software (Adobe Premiere/Photoshop or similar)
- Ideally hold a full UK drivers’ licence
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK at the time of joining
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- You will have a have a friendly, flexible approach to your working day and a willingness to work with and support colleagues
- You will have an enthusiastic, engaged attitude and eagerness to learn and develop personally and professionally and the willingness to take responsibility for your academic and vocational development
