£23,000 – £26,000 plus benefits (Work Level 6B)
Manchester city centre
Hybrid – working from home with 2 days in the office per week

We’re looking for an ambitious digital merchandising assistant to help deliver our exciting new food digital strategy. In this role, you’ll support our digital merchandising manager in improving the online shopping experience for our members and customers. We’ll look to you to work with your category team to implement category strategies across our own website and partner websites, including Deliveroo, Amazon, and Starship. E-commerce is an increasingly significant part of our business, and it’s a high-profile, fast-paced area to work in. What you’ll do
- support the digital merchandising manager with day-to-day admin tasks
- use a range of internal and external market data to support the building and development of online pricing and promotional strategies
- spot trends and look for opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes
- implement category strategies specific to each platform
- work across several areas of responsibility including ranging, pricing, promotions, merchandising, and search optimisation
- contribute to activity planning through product nominations
- support key partnerships with suppliers
- collate and build reports and analyse data and insight to drive actions day-to-day
This role will suit people who have
- a passion and interest for e-commerce
- experience with using and analysing basic data
- a keen eye for detail
- good organisational and prioritisation skills
- great relationship building skills and the ability and confidence to work cross-functionally
- a good understanding of food retail
