Job description

Due to the success and growth of Castle Fine Art’s online presence, we are on the lookout for a talented Digital Merchandiser who is excited and passionate about providing a seamless customer journey online. A self-motivated and independent worker, you will have the responsibility of uploading new products to the site and merchandising accordingly to help support the company’s ambitious eCommerce targets.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced business that continues to thrive in difficult economic circumstances, having recently opened a stunning new Head Office space in the Mailbox to reflect our high-end luxury business. This is a pivotal time for the business as we continue to expand our Digital function to support our eCommerce platform.

Joining us on a full time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week, you will receive a salary of £21,000 - £25,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits.

Key responsibilities as our Digital Merchandiser:

  • Uploading new products onto the website accurately and in a timely manner
  • Capturing all the critical information and categorising correctly to ensure an excellent online shopping experience for our clients
  • Ensuring all active products are optimised for best sell-through performance, enriching and optimising product listings with important data and improving searchability of products
  • Proactively reviewing the site, enforcing consistency and across all pages and suggesting improvements focussed on the customer journey
  • Working with our content team to curate a selection of products to be featured on themed blogs and in promotions.
  • Merchandising across multiple online platforms.

Skills and experience required to become our Digital Merchandiser:

  • Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to learn new project management platforms
  • You are organised, accurate with exceptional attention to detail and strive for perfection
  • Experience using a CMS is desirable, but is not essential and priority will be given to ambition and those with a keen interest to learn
  • Ability to research, by developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders as well as our artists, to generate informative copy that sells the artwork
  • An interest or previous history working in an art or luxury retail environment is desired but not essential
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability work under pressure to meet simultaneous deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
