Compare My Move is a comparison service founded in 2012 for UK movers to compare and connect with moving industry professionals they can trust.
Having come from a removals background, we started comparing removal companies for home movers and quickly added surveying and conveyancing as additional services. With more services on the way our mission is to become the home of moving home. We’re building the best network of verified partners from local trusted professionals, whilst saving home movers time and money on moving services and becoming a recognisable brand within our industry and beyond.

About the role
Do you have a passion for all things SEO? Are you looking to build a career and work with some of the best SEO minds in the business? If so, Compare My Move, an online comparison service for moving home, are looking for a new Digital Marketing Specialist.
You must be results driven, creative, organised, love data and be passionate about improving website page rankings! As the UK’s leading comparison service for home movers, we are all about rankings, traffic and leads.
This is a unique opportunity to join a creative, passionate, highly successful SEO team with massive plans.
The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the SEO Manager helping to implement new SEO strategies.
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the execution of SEO strategies across core services
- Perform keyword research to identify new lead opportunities across all verticals
- Ensure SEO best practices are maintained throughout the site
- Fix errors or issues that could be impacting SEO performance
- Thorough understanding of all core aspects of SEO (content, technical, offsite)
Take things to the next level
- Be creative and proactive. Identifying new opportunities for growth
- Improve keyword rankings to increase revenue for core services
- Help to grow the authority of Compare My Move across all services
- Regularly audit landing pages and guides, refreshing and updating content
- Stay abreast of search engine developments and algorithm changes
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify new opportunities
Monitor and report your success
- Monitor & report on lead, traffic, and keyword positions
- Use analytics tools to evaluate and report on impact of outreach campaigns.
- Utilise Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush and Ahrefs to analyse landing page performance and identify opportunities for improvements
- Present monthly reports on traffic & lead numbers
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following:
- A minimum of 2 years SEO experience
- Results driven with a real passion for SEO
- A creative thinker who can solve problems
- Have a can-do attitude, always on the lookout for new ideas and things to improve
- Organised and analytical with a love for data
- Demonstrable experience of ranking improvements to websites
- Ability to evaluate content from an SEO and user perspective
- Experience using Google Analytics, Search Console and Excel
- Experience using SEMrush, AHREFS or equivalent
- Excellent reporting skills and used to presenting to senior management
- While not required, experience of lead generation would be great to bring to the table, even better if in similar services but don’t worry if you don’t have this
