The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the marketing department, overseeing the company’s marketing activities and brand awareness including the overall outreach strategy. You will also be responsible for establishing the company’s end-to-end digital marketing capability and developing a digital strategy that aligns with the needs and goals of the businesses.

You will lead other members of the marketing team to build a full programme of integrated marketing that includes supporting the business development team with lead generation and event attendance. You will also use data to underpin the effectiveness of integrated marketing campaigns, bringing together strategic planning for SEO, PPC, website and offline marketing activity.

Main Duties / Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside senior stakeholders and the business development function to establish a best of breed approach to the use of marketing technology.
  • Develop the strategy for marketing to further develop the company brand, presence and reputation among agreed target markets.
  • Produce the annual marketing and communications plan which is in line with the agreed strategy and budget, and supports business and people objectives.
  • Work with the Finance team to agree and manage the marketing budget.
  • Own, champion and maintain the use of the HubSpot CRM platform.
  • Deliver the marketing and communications plan including lead generation campaign activities, providing opportunities for the business development team to convert.
  • Develop and lead the analytics and reporting function in digital campaigns with a focus on optimisation.
  • Conduct research on new trends in technology or customer behaviour that may affect the company’s bottom line.
  • Work with a web designer agency where appropriate to develop new website features (or overhaul existing ones) and create campaign landing pages.
  • Work with the wider 42T team to build a library of relevant and engaging content for use in email marketing, on social channels and the website.
  • Monitor the performance of digital channels to ensure they are reaching their target audiences and generating conversions.
  • Ensure the strategic direction is understood by any agencies and third-party suppliers and manage agency and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and principles related to digital and offline marketing.

About You

Education / Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Extensive relevant marketing experience in a B2B environment.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • CIM, IDM or equivalent professional qualification.

Desirable:

  • Post graduate diploma in digital marketing.

Knowledge and Skills:


Essential:

  • People management and leadership skills.
  • Creating and implementing marketing strategies and plans across the full marketing mix.
  • Extensive experience implementing and working with HubSpot.
  • Experience of working across the full digital marketing skill set.
  • Experience of building and maintaining websites in HubSpot.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of departmental budget management.
  • Deep understanding and practical use of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Data Studio in order to extract actionable insight and implement data driven improvements to digital marketing activity.
  • Expert in SEM including SEO and PPC across multiple search engines.
  • Establishing and measuring strategic and operational KPIs to ensure reporting of ROMI.
  • Data management and PECR/ GDPR compliance.
  • Hosting and running webinars.

Desirable:

  • Graphic design experience using Adobe suite of products.
  • Understanding of sales pipeline stages.
  • Knowledge of html coding.
  • User of SEM Rush or similar.
  • Video production and editing.

  • Excellent project management skills – self-sufficient in prioritising, organising workloads, planning ahead and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong data analysis skills with an ability to extract actionable insight.
  • Proactive worker able to identify opportunities, solve problems and complete tasks without supervision.
  • Managerial – ability to manage people and run a productive team, encouraging your direct reports to reach their full potential by sharing knowledge and offering training.

Verbal and Written Communication Skills:

Essential:

  • Confident public speaker, ability to facilitate meetings with internal colleagues and external contacts.
  • Statistical analysis.

Desirable:

  • Attention to detail, with copywriting, proof reading and editing skills.
