Position Overview:
This role will report to the Content Strategy Manager and focus on SEO strategy and execution across Diligent's different brands
Key Responsibilities
- SEO-friendly content creation and editorial responsibilities. You'll learn the basics of curating SEO-friendly blogs and various strategies to appear higher in Google's search results. With the help of your manager, you'll develop several SEO blogs from ideation to publication. You will also play a strategic role in Diligent's editorial team, from helping with the first round of proofreading to publishing within Insights, our global online resource hub.
- On-Page SEO: Optimizations to improve our SEO health and performance. You'll see an SEO content audit in action, learn best practices and take ownership of several on-page projects to improve our existing content. Whether it be implementing an internal linking strategy or writing eye-catching copy for missing meta descriptions, you'll learn crucial skills needed for a career in SEO or digital marketing.
- Off-Page SEO: Backlink campaigns and strategy implementation to build domain authority and improve rankings. You will learn all about backlinks, an essential element of SEO. From creative infographic campaigns to reclaiming broken backlinks, you will be involved in various strategies to earn quality links to our website. You'll get involved within the ideation stages, learn how to pitch our content to relevant websites, and how to find the links you earned!
Required Experience/Skills
- Currently pursuing their Bachelors in marketing or related fields, ideally a rising senior
- A creative self starter
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
