ROLE OVERVIEW
The Digital Marketing Executive is a key member of the St Michaels marketing team, responsible for delivering creative content across key digital channels. This role is based in our office in Falmouth Cornwall.
This will cover execution of email marketing campaigns, updating content and performance monitoring of the website.
The role will assist in the implementation of the marketing and e-commerce strategy for the whole resort (covering Rooms, Food & Drink, Meetings & Events, Health Club & Spa) in order to increase the hotel’s revenue across all markets and segments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· WEBSITES:
o Continual development of the website to reduce bounce rates, improve the user experience and increase our conversion percentage.
o Deliver online content across the website and paid social media to meet KPIs including CTRs, SEO strategy and conversions.
o Produce monthly reports on website performance, identifying high and low performing pages, particularly from a UX, bounce rate, conversion and SEO view.
· CRM & EMAIL
o Work to improve segmentation of our database, copywriting for the scheduled email marketing calendar and execution of the overall email marketing strategy.
o Continually develop the automated customer journey for new guest bookings and new subscribers.
o Drive database growth in line with the marketing strategy KPIs and measure, analyse and report on all e-marketing campaigns on a weekly basis.
- COPYWRITING:
o Be a key player in copywriting across several formats on and offline, to include print as well as digital.
PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· A minimum of 3 years marketing experience
· A passion for digital marketing communications
· Hands-on experience in delivering email marketing and social media campaigns
· Excellent copywriting ability
· Good knowledge of best SEO practice
· Strong analytical ability with Google Analytics experience
· CRM segmentation experience and understanding
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
· Display initiative, an eye for detail and effective research skills
· Be a team player, resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with people
· Able to work under pressure to short deadlines
· Experience within the hospitality industry is an advantage, but not critical
