As a Digital Marketing Executive you will assist in the optimisation and execution of the channel strategies to maximise return on investment for Waitrose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement day to day optimisations to marketing campaigns and assist in the development of activity through developing an understanding of the customer journey, A/B testing and continuous optimisation. Support the team to drive marketing efficiency, delivering against daily and weekly KPIs whilst aligning across the overall marketing ambition.

  • Assists with budgeting optimisation. Actively seeks to increase commercial awareness and is able to use this to provide context and advice on business proposals. Seeks new ways to test and develop new initiatives that will realise improved performance now or in the future.

  • Continually looks to deliver, improve and understand best in class campaign execution. Test and learn to capture early competitive advantage and ensure robust hypotheses deliver insightful results. Supporting in the delivery of insight and execution pre and post campaigns / activity.

  • Takes direction and applies learning in attribution techniques, ROI modelling, setting, evolving and monitoring bid rules to ensure campaigns that you are supporting are optimised in the short, mid and long term .

  • Closely monitors accuracy of internal and external tracking within reports to provide confidence that decisions are data driven, landing pages are optimised and keyword coverage is informed through accurate reporting and informed beyond last click.

  • Act in accordance with the Partnership’s purpose and democratic principles, constructively participating in co-ownership, and demonstrating to customers and each other that it is a better way of doing business. Share your knowledge, experiences, ideas and opinion to improve the Partnership, speaking honestly and frequently.

Essential Skills:

  • Stakeholder management.

  • Analytical thinking; Advanced excel, specifically pivot tables and Formulas including VLOOKUP/SUM/IF.

  • Experience of driving processes driven meeting deadlines and solution-driven.

  • Sound knowledge of the latest developments within digital marketing and customer.

  • Comfortable in exploring opportunities to develop these into new projects.

  • Experience of understanding customers, tone of voice and ability to drive performance whilst protecting brand values.

  • Experience of reviewing numbers and turning insights into actionable plans.
