The Ageas Bowl is the South Coast’s number one international sport, music and leisure destination. Every year, over 500,000 visitors choose the Ageas Bowl for live sport, music, hotel stays, spa breaks, conferencing and golf.
Role Overview
To assist in the effective delivery of The Ageas Bowl’s marketing plan for all of the venue’s cricketing products. In doing so, day-to-day responsibilities will chart and include, but are not limited to the following products: England Internationals, Hampshire Cricket Membership, Vitality Blast, Royal London Cup, LV= Insurance County Championship, Southern Vipers, The Hundred and Retail
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the effective delivery of insight-led marketing campaigns and the overarching marketing plan for all of The Ageas Bowl’s cricketing products
- Assist with marketing planning and output for the venue’s cricketing products, including, but not limited to: England Internationals, Hampshire Cricket Membership, Vitality Blast, Royal London Cup, LV= Insurance County Championship, Southern Vipers, The Hundred and Retail.
- Develop, execute and report on email and CRM campaigns
- Regular liaison with retained CRM & Insight partner to ensure efficient use of data, GDPR-compliance and to maximise data capture opportunities
- Regular liaison with other partners and retained agencies – i.e. print, digital, Ticketmaster - to optimise output and ROI6.Be an advocate for The Ageas Bowl's "Digital by Default" ethos and ensure all appropriate website and digital content is optimised
- Deliver, execute and report on above and below the line advertising activities for all appropriate products e.g. outdoor, print, radio / paid search, paid social media, SEO
- Identify, agree and deliver third party reciprocal marketing partnerships to extend The Ageas Bowl’s reach and increase awareness of the venue and its offering
- Produce and appropriately disseminate strong content to raise awareness of and generate interest in all appropriate products – i.e. England Internationals, Vitality Blast, Membership etc.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of appropriate in-venue marketing collateral and sites – including, but not limited to; poster sites, banner sites and permanent signage
- Assist with the planning, delivery and evaluation of matchday/event day marketing activities
- To assist in the delivery of marketing campaigns and the overarching marketing plan for the venue’s non-cricketing products from time to time
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Appropriate experience in a similar position/role or planning, delivering and reporting on marketing campaigns desirable
- Passion for customer service and delivery
- Passion for innovative thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent administrative and copywriting skills with attention to detail
- High levels of organisation and efficiency
- Exceptional communication skills
- An understanding of sport and leisure industries
- Key team player. The ability to work as a member of a dynamic team but with the confidence to work alone when required
- Excellent time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A flexible approach to working hours and roles - whilst the role is based at The Ageas Bowl and predominantly Monday to Friday during office hours, there is an expectation that the role holder will flex hours to be present during match days, which may involve evening, weekends, bank holidays and travel to other venues.
