Senior Marketing Executive

The Regulatory Compliance division of Science Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Marketing Executive. Joining our team means becoming part of two renowned scientific and regulatory consultancies – Leatherhead Food Research, which serves the global food and beverage industry, and TSG Consulting, which supports the global chemicals industry. As a Senior Marketing Executive, you will play a vital role in driving our marketing strategies and initiatives to enhance our brand visibility, generate leads, and support business growth. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the UK, Europe, and the US, working towards our shared objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a science-minded marketer with a flair for content creation.
The role will be based at our Great Burgh, Epsom, office with some travel as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote Leatherhead Food Research and TSG Consulting’s services and solutions to target industries
- Collaborate with the marketing team and team leaders to define marketing objectives, target markets, and key messages aligned with business goals
- Manage end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, including planning, budgeting, creative development, and performance tracking, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
- Lead the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including leaflets and brochures, case studies, white papers, website content, and thought leadership articles, maintaining consistency in messaging and branding
- Drive digital marketing initiatives, including website management, SEO, email marketing, social media, and online advertising, to increase brand visibility and generate qualified leads
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and deliver engaging content, such as webinars, podcasts, videos, and blog posts, that showcase Leatherhead Food Research and TSG Consulting’s expertise and thought leadership
- Support the planning and logistics of industry events, conferences and webinars, managing event registrations and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth execution of events
- Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and media partners to optimise marketing campaigns, negotiate contracts, and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Utilise marketing analytics and reporting tools to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing data-driven insights to improve campaign performance and ROI
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing or related discipline including English, journalism or other essay-based subject. CIM certificate qualification an advantage
- Two to three years’ proven experience in B2B marketing, preferably within the scientific, regulatory, chemical or food and beverage industries
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and content marketing, with a track record of driving successful campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and communicate complex scientific and regulatory concepts effectively
- Demonstrated experience in managing marketing campaigns end-to-end, including planning, budgeting, execution, and performance tracking
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot), content management systems (e.g., WordPress), design packages (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva), and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Skilled in PowerPoint and Word
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
- A proactive and creative mindset, with a genuine curiosity for the food & beverage and/or chemical market sectors, coupled with a willingness to learn
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
