Key Duties & Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients’ social media.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their communication needs, goals, and target audience.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and lead generation for our clients.
  • Manage and oversee the social media accounts of our clients.
  • Work in conjunction (where applicable) with the relevant PR Account Manager to amplify any PR campaign through social media.
  • Monitor social media trends, industry news, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for our clients.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on social media performance and engagement to clients.

Saltwater Stone Communication & Social Media Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development of marketing plans and strategies with a digital focus.
  • Develop engaging and informative content to highlight our agency’s services across various communication channels.
  • Manage the agency’s social media calendar and digital content, including creating engaging content for e-newsletters, blogs, success stories, and website.
  • Collaborate with PR team to gather information and ensure accurate and timely delivery of communication & social media content.
  • Understanding of analytics software and a good knowledge of SEO
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and brand tone across all communication materials.
  • Contribute to generic marketing activities.

Requirements

Required:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, journalism or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing social media strategies, including scheduling and analytics tools.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a range of products and services for various audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, using strong prioritisation skills, to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Customer service focussed.

Desirable:

  • Proven record of generation and delivery of digital content in a B2B environment
  • Experience or keen interest in the marine industry.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or equivalent design and video editing software
  • Understanding of analytics software and a good knowledge of SEO
  • Working knowledge of WordPress
