GDK has recently opened it’s 130th restaurant and now indirectly employ more than 4,000 team members, as all restaurants are owned and operated by franchisees. Having established themselves as one of the most exciting new food brands in the UK, GDK is now looking to take the next step in its growth phase and has recently announced plans to open another 20 new restaurants this year in the UK alone, and a greater GDK vision of over 500 sites in the next 10 years, and a global ambition to grow to >5,000 restaurants.

With new Senior Management Team in place GDK remains very ambitious to solidify its position as the undisputed #1 kebab brand in the UK and on the planet. With these big ambitions we are looking for the best talent out there to help drive the growth ambitions. We are looking for an experienced dynamic, entrepreneurial digital marketing manager to solidify GDK’s digital marketing presence.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director in the marketing team, ideally based in the Glasgow HQ, the Digital Marketing Manager will be part of a growing marketing team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the marketing director to ensure all initiatives will deliver a full funnel strategy.
  • Developing, implementing and managing digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels (GDK website, GDK App) including CRM & consumer marketing strategies & journeys
  • Updating the websites with relevant content and marketing campaigns. Optimisation and future development of the GDK website if and when required
  • Updating the App with relevant promotions and consumer journey to drive traffic to the restaurants.
  • Further development of the GDK app including developing and implementing a loyalty function.
  • Develop and implement Loyalty Marketing Strategies: Create and execute innovative loyalty marketing strategies to increase customer retention, engagement, and overall loyalty. This includes designing personalised offers, promotions, and rewards programs tailored to different customer segments.
  • Email marketing mgt. Manage the email database driving recruitment into the database and optimisation of effectiveness of the emails opening rates and click through rates, including customer segmentation and contact frequency rules.
  • Manage budget and track key metrics including Return On Ad Spend (ROAS), Revenue Per Click (RPC) etc.
  • Develop and deploy content for all types of media including video, graphical and blogs.
  • Development and analysis of the appropriate digital dashboards and reporting against this on a weekly basis.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and providing regular reports
  • Customer Segmentation and Targeting: Utilize data analytics and market research to identify customer segments, their preferences, and behaviours.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns to address the specific needs and interests of each segment, maximizing the effectiveness of loyalty initiatives.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Excellent understanding of the digital marketing channels with demonstrable results
  • Creative mindset to develop engaging content.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced start-up environment and possess an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Understanding of key KPI’s that define success of a digital strategy and campaign. Experience in weekly reporting of key dashboards incl. key insight generation and action planning
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience in working within a team and with multi-discipline workflow.
  • Experience in working with specialised digital and social media agencies
