Our Trade beauty client is looking for a new Trade Digital Marketing Executive to join their digital marketing team. You will be working with luxury fragrance brands as well as innovative upcoming niche brands on their digital marketing campaigns.
The company are based in a stunning countryside location just outside of Lewes, so a full UK driving license and own transport is necessary. You would be working a min of 2 days in the office.
You’ll be working as part of a small digital team to ensure all trade digital marketing activity is delivered in a timely manner, is of high quality and in line with the plans for both retailer and in-house activity. Creating and implementing retailer marketing calendars to support the growth of the global and beauty divisions.
You’ll be accountable for the development and implementation of online marketing activations through our UK retailer partners, by supporting the Digital Strategy Marketing Manager (DSMM), and responsible for identifying online growth initiatives and developing brand awareness to build brand loyalty for their UK retailers.
The role would suit someone who is confident and assertive as you will be attending retailer meetings.
The Company
The client is a leading UK beauty and fragrance distributor, they build, nurture and develop their clients’ brands through carefully selected retail channels, supporting them with tailored in-store and online marketing campaigns.
Trade Digital Marketing Executive Role:
You’ll be working as part of a small digital team to ensure all trade digital marketing activity is delivered in a timely manner, is of high quality and in line with the plans for both retailer and in-house activity. Creating and implementing retailer marketing calendars to support the growth of the global and beauty divisions.
· Create and implement retailer marketing calendars to outline digital marketing activity for the year ahead – listing all brands and retailers.
· Work closely with the DSMM to understand each large corporation (including separate divisions within a company), brand strategy and new launch/promotional activity.
· Be responsible for creating inspiring presentations, in accordance with each brand, for internal and external meetings.
· Track, analyse and report the success of all new product launches and events.
· Be an interface between the retailer marketing teams and the DSMM/Brand Owner.
· Ensure retailers have assets/copy they require for all marketing activations (coordinate with the wider team).
· Keep track of all store JBPs/marketing calendars across all brands and ensure activity is being actioned within the deadlines.
· Support DSMM for retailer strategy meetings.
· Capture all digital activity and save on our internal systems.
· Fill in digital briefs for retailers including but not limited to paid social, CRM and brand treatment pages.
· Support digital activations when needed.
· Seek new opportunities for digital marketing activations.
· Create post-activity digital reports to send to Brand Owners, where relevant.
· Create competitor analysis reports when required.
· Create presentations for internal and/or external use when required.
· Support across Above the Line marketing campaigns for retailers.
· Ensure the wider team are updated on any trade digital marketing activity which impacts them including sales team, training team and Business Analysis.
· Support the team preparing for brand owner meetings, cycle meetings, retailer strategy meetings, PR events.
· Understand & respect the long-term vision & strategy for each brand ensuring digital campaigns and programs fit correctly.
· Know the brand portfolio – keep up to date with all aspects of our brands to include retail & wholesale sales, distribution & pricing.
· Be aware and understand the dynamics of the UK retail trade by working closely with the Sales team on all relevant trade initiatives.
Trade Digital Marketing Executive candidate:
You’ll be a highly organised, creative individual with at least 2 years’ relevant experience, you’ll be passionate about everything digital and ecommerce, with a genuine interest in the fragrance and / or beauty industry.
· 2+ year of digital marketing experience
· Calendar management experience?
· Client facing/retailer facing liaison experience?
· Passionate about fragrance/beauty
· Ability to form positive relationships with key retailer contacts
· Experience creating and implementing retail marketing calendars.
· Experience raising PO’s and tracking marketing expenditure against budgets.
· Ability to create post-campaign reports to present back to key stakeholders and brand owners
· A strong understanding of all social media platforms and a thorough understanding on the analytics.
· Excellent organisational skills, with high attention to detail
· CRM experience
· A good working knowledge of Shopify
· Experience using InDesign and/or Photoshop
· Ability to write engaging social media content
· Ability to analyse digital campaign performance
· Willing to get stuck into various projects
· Team player
