Department purpose
Our coordinated business development, marketing and communication teams contribute to the setting and achievement of the firm’s business objectives, which includes improving our client relationships, increasing the visibility of the firm globally, and supporting our partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming our clients’ trusted advisers.
What you will do
As a Marketing Executive you will spend 50% of your time supporting the Business Development efforts of the London Corporate Insurance practice. The remaining 50% will be spent on supporting the London Environment practice, and the firm’s global Sustainability/ESG sector.
In this varied role, you will support with the following activities:
Pitching - assisting on pitches, working with the London corporate pitch executive with the guidance of Business Development managers.
BD programmes and initiatives – working with the Manager/Senior Manager to deliver the London Corporate insurance and environment marketing programme and using this programme as a route to market to target audiences. This will include managing internal and external communications including social media, event logistics, producing relevant content, briefing materials, follow up, budgeting and reporting. A similar level of support and tasks is anticipated for the firm’s global Sustainability and ESG sector.
BD tactics – ensuring experience information is regularly and accurately captured for the Sustainability and London corporate insurance and environment practice in the firm’s experience system, EPiC.
External communications – managing the client alert process, and assist with podcasts, campaigns, seminar programmes and other ad hoc thought leadership projects.
Directories – working with the Business Development managers to assist on compiling directories and awards submissions.
Business Development initiatives - supporting with BD and marketing initiatives and other inputs as required.
What you will have
Degree-level qualification in Marketing or related field or substantial equivalent experience.
Excellent communication – both written and oral - and inter-personal skills, in order to manage expectations of various stakeholders
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Professional, proactive and enthusiastic approach to all work and interactions.
Ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure. Ability to plan ahead, anticipate one’s own workload and balance conflicting priorities
Enthusiasm to develop an understanding of the practice groups (in terms of the market, the cases/deals, the key players, the competition, and the actual structures and approaches involved in these areas).
