Due to significant business growth at Pavers, we are continuing to expand our Digital Marketing department and are looking for a passionate, driven and motivated individual to join our inhouse Digital Marketing team as a full time Digital Marketing Assistant/Trainee at our Head Office in York. The role is offered with full training for a Graduate or equivalent wanting to start their Marketing career and will focus on PPC & Paid Search Digital Marketing. Depending on the successful applicant, an apprenticeship qualification may be available.

The ideal candidate will a have an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of and to forge a successful career in Paid Search in a highly successful family-owned fashion retail business. You will have the opportunity to learn and receive full training from established industry experts across a multitude of Paid Search channels, including: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Pinterest and Facebook Ads. This will include earning industry certifications across, Google Ads and Google Analytics.
This is an entry level Digital Marketing role with significant scope for career progression, limited only by your ambition.
Main duties of our Digital Marketing Assistant/Trainee once trained:
- PPC campaign management across the Pavers, Jones Bootmaker and Shoeshop.com brands across UK and international territories
- Maintenance and optimisation the Google ads campaigns, including but not limited to: keyword research, campaign set up, daily monitoring and optimisation, with focus on growth and efficiency of the accounts
- Partake in external and internal training sessions for Paid Search channels
- Conduct regular and strategic testing to improve conversion and click through rates.
- Optimise the accounts to hit keen business KPIs.
- Gain experience implementing the latest optimisation technologies and techniques to optimise channel performance.
- Reporting of campaign/channel performance to senior stakeholders on a weekly/adhoc basis, utilising the latest automated reporting technologies.
Requirements to be of our Digital Marketing Assistant/Trainee:
- Ambition to start a career in Digital Marketing
- Graduate level or equivalent (Marketing/Business/Mathematical/Sciences background)
- A highly analytical individual, with a passion for problem solving and identifying trends and good MS Excel skills
- Ability to analyse information and propose actions as a result
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills from industry experts
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Have excellent presentation skills
- Have a strong test and learn methodology
- Be commercially aware and customer focused
- Be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, pro-active and open to change
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify problems and demonstrate use of initiative
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and strong attention to detail
