Digital Marketing Assistant Remote

Online Mortgage Advisor
Full Time Remote 24000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

THE COMPANY

We’re a dynamic and fast-growing company, achieving great things in the mortgage and finance industry with a relatively small team.

That small team is growing rapidly to keep up with the demand for all the ideas, innovations & opportunities available to the business.

This is a place of zero egos and zero politics. Just a team of talented, enthusiastic, hard-working, dedicated and lovely experts, who think outside of their box and genuinely care about achieving the key business objectives, as well as our vision of helping everyone in the UK have access to the right advice.

THE ROLE

The digital marketing assistant will support our highly skilled marketing team in delivering successful projects across our multiple websites to help us achieve our ambitious growth plans. They will also support publishing new content, making changes and updates to existing content as well as supporting the SEO team and CRO team with strategic changes and updates.

The role will also require the Digital Marketing Assistant to maintain the general upkeep and admin tasks for the website, such as making monthly updates to specific components and running regular checks on the performance of the site. There will also be a requirement to support Quality Assurance on the website, ensuring that all new projects that go live match the brief, work as expected and can go live smoothly.

THE PERSON

Are you someone that’s looking to kick-start their career in marketing?

You’ll need an amazing eye for detail, and be comfortable following processes to ensure projects are delivered right the first time. You’ll enjoy seeing tasks through from start to finish, and enjoy a variety of work. You’re someone who gets satisfaction from completing tasks and projects to the best of your ability, however big or small they might be, and you’re not someone to throw in the towel.

You’ll be someone that’s keen to learn and open to tackling new challenges within the different marketing disciplines. You’ll be open to feedback and able to adapt to change well.

There’s plenty of opportunity to grow with this business, whether it’s SEO, CRO or any other area of the digital marketing mix, you’ll learn a diverse range of skills that can shape your future in marketing and with the business.

Does this sound like you:

  • Detail oriented - you’re focused on completing a task to the best of your ability
  • You can work both autonomously or as part of a team.
  • You’re not one to sit and wait - you’re proactive, you take initiative and will help to drive value by looking for ways to contribute
  • Willing to engage with team discussions to help improve the way we work
  • Passionate about doing a good job; you take pride in what you do
  • You’re not afraid to ask questions, no matter how complicated or simple the questions may seem
  • You have strong organisation and administration skills
  • You’re comfortable and confident at expressing your opinions.
  • You like to share ideas, and build good relationships with people.
  • You like to get stuck in; you have a ‘no job is too big or too small’ attitude and you always give your best
  • You have a willingness to regularly learn new skills
  • You don’t just complete a task, you go back and check it before confirming you’ve completed it

DAY-TO-DAY EXAMPLES

  • Active on daily team stand-up calls to update the team on your workload and progress with particular tasks.
  • Work closely with the content team, CRO team and the SEO team on a variety of different tasks to get projects rolled out quickly and to a high standard.
  • Monthly publishing targets uploading brand new pages and content to our websites.
  • The eyes and ears of the website; you’ll be the most active person within the website admin constantly checking for improvements or updates.
  • Recurring monthly tasks to update components and other elements of the websites.
  • Responsibility for the up keep of our form system, running daily tests and ensuring customers can still make enquiries on site
  • Being interested and aware of the mortgage market; changes in interest rates, and any new laws for homebuyers.

EXPERIENCE

We want to find the right person. Experience is very much secondary with this role as you’ll be trained in the role by a number of experienced people in the team.

Ideally, you’ll have a background in an administrative role, preferably around 1 year, but now looking to take that step into marketing. Or perhaps you’re already in a Marketing Assistant type role, but not getting the experience you thought you might get.

You may also be fresh out of university looking for your first role in the marketing sector. Whether that be after studying a marketing degree or not, this is likely to be your first or second step in your marketing career.

You’ll spend a lot of time using digital marketing platforms such as WordPress, OutGrow, HotJar, Google Optimise, Google Analytics and salesforce, so any experience of using these platforms (or equivalent) would be beneficial, but not a requirement.

We work using Google Suite, so experience with this will also help you to hit the ground running. We extensively use Google Sheets, so you’ll need to be comfortable using spreadsheets.

BENEFITS

Of course, aside from the opportunity to become part of a growing, innovative business at the forefront of the mortgage and finance industries, there are various benefits that we think make our business one of the most exciting and rewarding to work for you could dream of, including:

  • Fully remote role
  • Flexible working at a company where respect for work/life balance is important - predominantly a remote working role with occasional meet-ups in person in the Midlands.
  • Camaraderie and a fun, family atmosphere
  • Training and learning opportunities. We are happy to invest in the right candidate and help them grow their skill set and experience.
  • Attractive company benefits include: Workplace Pension, Sick pay, Bupa Cash Health Plan, Life Insurance & Income Protection, day off on birthday and company anniversary.
