Picture yourself working as a digital marketing apprentice for us helping generate promotional content for a global market leader in automation technology, with the objective to influence and continue developing the SMC brand to our UK customers.
The Opportunity
SMC are on the search for a passionate and creative digital marketing apprentice with the drive to provide excellent customer service. Based in Milton Keynes, you will be working in a marketing team of 4 and their fundamental role is to constantly apply creative tactics to help promote SMC products across web, email, social media, and exhibitions, with the goal of maintaining our position as UK and global market leaders in pneumatic and automation technology.
You will have also have the opportunity to work on creating internal communications to support and collaborate with various departments, including organizing fun events that include companywide team building exercises and coming up with suggestions for charity fundraising activities.
You will attend Milton Keynes College for 1 day per week during your first 6 months and the rest of the time you will be in the workplace.
About you
You have a passion to learn how effective website and social media marketing can help promote and sell products, as well as gain new customers. The SMC marketing apprentice will be comfortable in helping produce video, photo, and written content for promotional purposes.
A team player who is sociable, organised with the ability to manage their own workload, you will have good communication skills with an eye for continuous improvement. You should also have experience of social media platforms such as youtube, tiktok, facebook and twitter.
Entry Requirements
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 4-9 (A-C) which should include Mathematics and English Language.
- Level 3 Digital Marketer - link to apprentice standard: Level 3 Digital Marketer. Ensure you have read the standard before applying.
- Training with Milton Keynes College
- Ongoing support and training with SMC
- Duration: 18 months excluding end point assessment
Future prospects
SMC champion employee development and following successful completion of your level 3 apprenticeship, would be happy to support you on to a level 4 qualification to continue your development with a plan to successfully move forward in the business.
