Digital & Innovation Learning Lead London, England

Full Time London, England 33625 - 46640 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

About us

We are Direct Line Group – home to some of the country's best-known brands including Direct Line, Churchill, Privilege, Greenflag and NIG. Our vision is to create a world where insurance is personal, inclusive and a force for good, and our purpose is to help people carry on with their lives, giving them peace of mind now and in the future.

To support this we are looking for someone to establish our newly created Digital & Innovation team who will manage the learning technology tech stack and manage the design of digital learning solutions (whether that's through your own team or through trusted 3rd parties). You will report to our Learning Expereince Lead. You'll be someone who's well versed in creating environments where high performance can flourish. Not only will you be able maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders but you'll be used to working with suppliers to deliver commercial value.

How to apply: Please share your portfolio of digital learning solutions with us (if we can access via a link, that’s fine). We’d also like you to create a video (max 5 mins) telling us all a little bit about you and the latest thinking in the form of ‘3 things you need to know’ (from your perspective) around the future of learning design and technology.

What you'll do:

  • You'll lead a team of 6 (3 Digital Design Consultants, 1 Platform Design Consultant and you'll provide matrix management to 2 Change Partners) and help the team develop their craft, coaching, observing and sharing insights

  • Establish and evolve the learning technology roadmap

  • Run RFPs for learning tech and design

  • You'll agree design standards and provide expertise and external insight

  • You'll get stuck in to the challenge of taking complex learning needs and breaking them down into elegant digital learning solutions which connect skills to career development and business outcomes and selling concepts to stakeholders

  • A typical day will involve a healthy mix of supporting your team and 3rd parties to pull together and share design options, producing and testing digital content. This could include stepping in to produce (either yourself or working with external suppliers) video content, web and social media-based solutions, animations, presentations, interactive PDFs, Pod Casts (and yes even a bit of rapid authoring from time to time)

  • You'll conduct research, interpret data, run user feedback sessions and deliver your findings

  • You'll work with an existing digital content library and evolving it when needed

Who we are looking for:

You'll be an experienced leader and industry expert with an iterative approach when it comes to learning technology and design. Your inquisitive and learner centred approach will help you to identify ways to push boundaries and create measurable impact.

You'll have a vast portfolio of digital learning solutions for a broad range of target audiences and you'll be passionate about how digital learning can deliver business performance and help people reach their potential.
