Digital Graduate Programme (2 years)
The world of digital can make banking faster, smarter and much more personal. We’re blazing a trail and pushing opportunities to the limit. We’re working to meet the future needs of our customers, connect in brand new ways, and make our user experience the best it can be.
On our Graduate Leadership programmes, you’ll learn at pace and gain exposure to senior leaders and a variety of projects and teams, giving you everything you need to be a future leader at our Bank; all whilst working towards a relevant professional qualification.
Through a series of placements, you’ll get to know the ins and outs of a digital, ethical bank. You’ll learn how to manage and optimise retail and see how digital supports our broader activities. You’ll also get first-hand experience of:
- Developing digital marketing or social media campaigns
- Digital strategy, planning and project management
- Analysing the performance of our website, mobile app, and specific products and campaigns
- Designing new or updated elements of our website and mobile app
- Optimising user journeys on our website and mobile app
- Running research into our website and mobile app, to test how easily users can use and understand them
You’ll also work towards the Digital and Technology Solutions Level 6 apprenticeship.

Your placements
Placements will vary depending on business needs at the time as well as being tailored to your areas of interest. Each placement is designed to develop your commercial and strategic thinking, negotiation and influencing skills and understanding of how our Bank works. Our two and three year Graduate schemes provide a structured development programme. You’ll develop key leadership skills and competencies and gain knowledge and experience through a series of placements across your chosen business area.

There’s much more to our graduate programmes than on-the-job experience. We’ll give you all of the tools we can to drive your career and develop you as a person. You’ll have access to all the support you need, but the ultimate responsibility for shaping your development will be yours. Your Business Sponsor will review and appraise your performance, providing feedback and coaching at every step of the way to ensure your success and personal growth. We’ll also assign you a senior leader mentor and work with you on a personal development plan to draw together technical training and personal and professional learning to help you grow your skills and gain a relevant apprenticeship.

You’ll also be a fast learner who will grasp every new challenge with both hands, commercially focused and a confident communicator with a good head for figures and the ability to look at things differently when dealing with all kinds of challenges.
Graduate Programme: Application Process
What you’ll need
Above all you must be passionate about looking at things differently to shape the future of banking.
Entry Requirements:
- On course for, or have achieved a 2:1 degree or above in any discipline or a 2:2 degree with a Masters
- 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grade C or above (or level 4 or above)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Our assessment process
We’ve designed our process so we can get to know each other better along the way. We’ll ask you to participate in:
- Online application and screening
- Video Interview
- Assessment Centre
- Final stakeholder interview
