About us

The Information Services Division (ISD) is the primary provider of IT services to UCL. We support and enhance learning, teaching, research and administrative processes by providing information- and technology-related services to over 50,000 staff and students of UCL and associated institutions. Our ambition is to be the leading IT services group in the HE sector and we are growing our team’s capability in experience/UX, agile development, security, cloud, service management and partnering. We are modernising our technology foundations, digitising the processes of the university to transform experience for students and staff, and partnering across the university to drive differentiation in UCL education and research. Within ISD, this post is in Digital Education, UCL’s hub for supporting, exploiting and enhancing the use of technology in education. High level group objectives are: • Providing and enhancing core digital education and educational media services • Supporting and spreading excellent practice • Innovating and evaluating • Developing fully-online learning capability and capacity • Developing digital capabilities of staff and students • Supporting digital accessibility To this end a multi-team structure (VLE, Educational Media, Advisory, Digital Learning Design, Futures, Digital Skills Development and Digital Accessibility) has been established, with a cross-product Support team.

About the role

The Digital Education Support team within Digital Education is recruiting for a Support Analyst. Working in partnership with the IT Service Desk and Product teams, you'll provide 2nd line support and work closely with the Learning Technologist across the wider team to encourage and support Staff and Students to use UCL’s Digital platforms such as the VLE, Lecture capture, Assessment platforms and more. You will work closely with the two Support Analysts already in post, and liaise with Learning Technologists within the Digital Education products and faculties to promote, support and develop our provision. About you

As an Digital or E-Learning Technologist, you have experience working with digital technologies such as a VLE (virtual learning environment), Lecture capture systems ( Extron etc.) and/or assessment platforms and have provided e-learning support within an IT service delivery environment. You have an appreciation of pedagogical and social aspects of learningtechbnologies and of their adoption as well as application. Additionally, you are a pro-active individual by nature and with your strong interpersonal and collaboration skills you're able to foster relationships with colleagues and your team.
