Up to £29,000 including bonus (depending on experience) + benefits

The team

The Design Team is responsible for all customer facing design for the UK, ROI, Spain and Canada. Our team of designers work across all channels ensuring the output is of the highest standard and on brand. We create campaign masters, store graphics, packaging, illustration and UX/UI covering both static and motion executions.
Your purpose
As the Junior Digital Designer, you’ll be confident in assisting to produce excellent design work. Showing a basic understanding of UX/UI, motion graphics, design principles and methodologies are crucial. Coding knowledge is not required; however, a basic understanding of the build process is beneficial to the role. Your purpose is to support the design team with fresh creative solutions that upkeep the already high standards of the department.
This role can be based in either Guernsey or within a reasonable commuting distance to Southampton, UK as you’ll be working from our office at least once every two weeks. Occasional travel to other locations will be expected.
Your role
- Support the team with briefs and provide creative solutions and contribute to the design process from briefing to delivery.
- Communicate with all relevant inter-agency teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.
- Demonstrate expertise in digital formats and design thinking across various digital channels and platforms, while collaborating with art directors, writers, and designers from other creative teams.
- Learn to understand and develop UI design systems and create pages that follow a unified visual language.
What you’ll bring
- Creative flair, originality and the ability to manage own workload.
- Work well under pressure to tight deadlines, excellent attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Independent, self-motivated and a responsible individual.
- Basic proficiency in Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and/or any other design and prototyping tools. Some motion experience would be a plus.
- A strong team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), and a collaborative, can do attitude.
- Some exposure to internships or interim Designer roles would be highly advantageous.
