Our team is accountable for maintaining and improving the integrity of digital customer interaction data, coordinating tagging across the digital platform and engaging with wider teams to shape the future digital data landscape. The role will include some line management responsibility with an emphasis on developing skills and driving efficiencies. High quality data is critical to business decision making so this role is pivotal to the successful development of the digital channel.
Role is accountability for the integrity of data for all onsite customer interactions, ensuring data is collected, accurate and complete. Enabling the business to develop a deep understanding of customer behaviour that will help us to analyse and optimise their digital interactions.
We seek to drive excellent digital customer experiences and improve the digital capabilities of our customers to support their financial empowerment, ultimately improving digital self-service. To do this we need a deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative customer data that will help us to analyse and optimise their digital interactions.
What you’ll be doing…
You will have responsibility for maintaining and improving the quality of digital interaction data, ensuring the right data is collected and propagated into analytical data layers and owning the resolution of data quality issues identified. This will involve:
  • Collaboration with multiple partners to understand the digital change roadmap, digital journey flows and associated measurement/analytics requirements.
  • Developing a deep understanding of how digital events are captured through tagging, and the standards and conventions required to ensure consistency and accuracy in the data generated.
  • Working closely with digital feature teams who are delivering their change roadmaps to understand data requirements and providing SME expertise on tagging implementation required to meet their needs.
  • Helping to prioritise tagging implementations across digital labs based on understanding of change roadmap and strategic digital priorities.
  • Supporting change implementation by testing and validating that the data captured is accurate, complete and available in end-user systems (Adobe Analytics & Group Data Warehouse)
  • Taking ownership of data defect resolution including logging new defects identified, prioritising fix work with supporting change teams, and supporting with associated communications and retesting.
You will have a more strategic long-term objective to drive improvements in our digital data capabilities, including:
  • Identifying short term improvements to tagging implementation process to improve efficiency.
  • Developing automated solutions for tagging generation wherever possible to reduce lab overhead.
  • Liaising with wider teams across the bank exploring the future digital data landscape to ensure solutions proposed consider analytical use cases
You will have responsibility for managing a small team of 1-2 entry level data quality analysts, sharing your knowledge and guiding their development.
What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience collaborating with multiple partners, balancing conflicting priorities and influencing others to deliver your objectives.
  • A highly numerate and analytical individual, who is excellent at critical reasoning.
  • An individual with an understanding of data, both in terms of how to create, collect and process it, and how to use data within a business context to improve customer experiences
  • A proactive approach to data quality, including validation and testing
  • An unwavering attention to detail and steadfast curiosity
  • Experience working in agile methodology (or alongside agile teams)
  • Technical experience with web analytics (preferably Adobe Analytics), tag management (preferably Tealium); Teradata SQL and Data Visualisation tools would also be useful.

Annual basic salary:
London: £66,744 - £77,868 + exceptional rewards package
Bristol, Leeds or Edinburgh: £52,245 - £60,953 + exceptional rewards package
