Job description

Digital Content Editor

The Postcode Lottery raises funds for good causes. Together with our partners and everyone who participates in the lottery, our staff members all work towards creating a better, greener and more socially inclusive world. Would it make you proud to contribute towards this amazing mission as our Digital Content Editor? Join our international team at the Postcode Lottery Group in the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, the UK and Sweden!

Our award-winning communications department works to enhance and protect the reputation of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Every one of our big winners has an amazing story to tell. There’s always strong interest from our players and potential players about winning postcodes, the winners themselves, and how they plan to spend their prize money.

People’s Postcode Lottery was created to raise funds for charities and good causes. That means there are also great opportunities to highlight the impact of those funds in Britain and beyond. Our work really does change lives for the better.

We strive to ensure our communications products reflect the needs of diverse audiences, externally and internally.

These are our main workstreams:

  • Winner communications
  • Charity communications
  • Corporate communications
  • Internal communications
  • Crisis communications

The Digital Content Editor will be a senior member of the department and will report directly to the Head of Communications. This is an important, new role and the successful candidate will join a cross-functional team of talented professionals working to transform our websites. You will be creative, flexible, and passionate about harnessing the power of digital communications.

Extensive and proven experience in a similar role is required and you will be able to demonstrate how you have used your skills in previous posts to deliver against business KPIs. We are looking for someone who is degree-educated in a relevant field, or has equivalent professional experience, within a relevant discipline.

You will have experience of working with digital asset management systems, an understanding of intellectual property and data protection laws, and a knowledge of social media trends and platforms. Experience of working in a highly regulated environment would also be welcome.

Our communications team work flexibly and adaptably, and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to support other departmental functions. Travel within Great Britain and weekend working, dependent on business needs, will be required.

Izzi McLaren, Communications Officer: ‘We’re always sharing good news stories here at Postcode Lottery. Whether it’s our wonderful winners, the fantastic charities we support or celebration of team success, we’ve got lots to shout about in the communications team.

I joined the organisation as a customer experience agent before moving into the communications team as an assistant. I’m now a senior communications officer and it’s hard to think of another organisation where I would have been given the opportunity and experience to develop my career in such a way.’
