The role

We have an opportunity for an aspiring Level 6 Digital and technology solutions Apprentice to start in Summer/Autumn 2023.

This role sits within our water division. You will be a part of a dynamic and growingwater networks team where you will be exposed to diverse water networks optimisation projects that have the potential to transform the water industry. The team is predominately involved in the design of smart water network solutions with particular focus on leakage reduction, energy saving, reduction in carbon emission and optimised water supply.

In your role, you will support the team in developing digital tools, APIs and software that will deliver a wide range of tailored solutions to our clients, you will also receive mentoring and continuous support from our talented engineers and digital services team.

Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn as you study for an academic qualification. You’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending University one day a week, where you will gain a BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology solutions.

About you

For our apprenticeships no previous experience is required If you are self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn then this could be for you.

Qualifications:

For this Level 6 apprenticeship you will need 3 A Levels at Grade ABB or equivalent.

We also look for:

A strong interest in Digital solutions and Data is essential for this role

• Someone who is inquisitive, with an interest in continuous improvement
• Someone who is proactive and passionate for getting involved
• Someone who has good attention to detail
• Someone who can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to present information in speech, drawings, and reports

Land Aid

Every year we remove single-use plastics from our graduate and apprentice recruitment campaigns and instead using our budget in a more globally responsible way. This year we have decided to partner with LandAid.

In 2019/20, an estimated 120,000 young people asked for help from their local council because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness.

It’s a problem that LandAid are here to help tackle.

As the Property Industry Charity, LandAid unite over 200 organisations from across the sector, working together to bring an end to youth homelessness.

As a Charitable Trust, they distribute funding to frontline charities supporting the young and homeless – and primarily fund capital projects, such as renovating homes and building bedspaces.

We have seen the incredible impact that can happen when the industry unites and so Stantec are proud to be working alongside LandAid this year.
