The purpose of the role is to drive our analytical capability by introducing best in class data modelling and statistical analysis techniques to support website personalisation programme along with conversion rate optimisation programme.
The team supports this through the analysis of a variety of web analytics data sources (Adobe Analytics, Contentsquare), test data from Adobe Target, and other business data. We also use Microsoft Power BI for KPI reporting, SQL for test analysis, Python and Alteryx for process automation.
This role will suit a highly numerate, technically innovative, and influential individual who enjoys iterating through ideas to deliver positive change with a scientific approach.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and translate them into a scope for a data analytics solution
- Advanced statistical analysis, such as correlation, regression, for data validation or performance review
- Build machine learning models to determine the behavioural traits (intent to purchase / product category)
- Collaborate on development initiatives such as data modelling, data profiling, building big data ETL solutions for audience activation on website and digital marketing channels
- Communicate insights and recommendations through clear visualisations and presentations to technical and non-technical partners respectively
- Liaise with the optimisation team to ensure appropriate measurement, tracking and understanding of test results, and how they influence the wider business
- Line manage analysts in the team, mentor and develop their skills and development plans, provide technical support.
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Highly numerate with knowledge of statistics and hypothesis testing methods
- Strong problem-solving skills, translating complex problems into simple concepts
- In-depth understanding of data collection, data transformation and export methodologies in enterprise analytics solutions
- Experience analysing and applying statistical modelling to large data sets
- Skills required: Python, Advanced SQL, Cloud, git, Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, web analytics (adobe / google).
- Degree or equivalent in relevant field
