Brakes are currently recruiting for a Digital Analyst to join our Marketing team based in Ashford, reporting to the Digital Product Lead. Our role is offering hybrid working with 2 days a week in the Ashford office, so you must be within a commutable distance. The site has good transport links and free car park for colleagues.

As the Digital Analyst, it is your responsibility to provide data, analysis, and actionable insights on customer ecommerce activity. This will involve enhancing our website/online ordering platform and its functionality for customers ensuring the right product recommendations are offered. You will do this by measuring the customers satisfaction levels from the end to end user experience, identifying functionality issues and analysing the overall customer journey to support with improving the ecommerce platform.

This is a critical role that plays a part of a wider digital transformation programme aimed at driving new customer acquisition, and the commercial value of the website. The role will also be responsible for ensuring we are using the right digital analytics tools, whilst remaining aware of market trends and the advancements in digital analytics technologies, acting upon positive opportunities for change.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Updating, distributing, and evolving a standard set of weekly reports
  • Develop, maintain and continually enhance custom dashboards and reports, selecting and using the most suitable tools
  • Interpret and translate business requirements into a measurement brief
  • Analyse digital campaigns with a view of maximising return on investment
  • Map digital journeys across the user lifecycle
  • Work with technical teams so to assist with optimising digital products and services
  • Analyse on site tests/on-site changes and provide recommendations with an ethos of continuous improvement
  • Ensure all measurements roll-up effectively to the high-level digital targets, KPIs and strategic goals, enabling the team to continually measure progress and improvement

About you:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with analytical tools like GA Universal, Google Tag Manager, with a working knowledge of GA4 and other reporting platforms such as Looker (Data Studio), Tableau, and Cookie management software such as One Trust. You will also possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with being an exceptional communicator who is able to analyse and present complex data in a clear and impactful way at the highest level both written and verbally. To be successful in this role you need to be an independent, self-starter who has the drive to improve results, customer behaviours and understand the commercial benefits of driving marketing performance. Having a proven track record in measuring ecommerce, digital customer experience, digital marketing, and site optimisation is highly advantageous for this position.
