Driving thoughtful customer growth is at the core of how we've scaled over the past few years, and we're building out our dedicated Growth Marketing team to support these efforts. You'll play a big part in bringing Monzo to more people who we've never been able to reach before, so we get closer to our mission of making money work for everyone.
We're looking for a Senior Digital Ads Manager that is ready to lead on our Programmatic media buying strategy which will contribute to conversion, consideration and awareness campaigns for the business. They will be confident in digital media buying and planning but also be comfortable and not afraid to get into the weeds of campaign execution and optimisation across a range of different platforms.
This role is highly suited to someone with a wealth of experience in buying media inventory across traditional websites and apps but also to streaming products and beyond.
Your work will help us drive and scale our Growth and Brand Marketing activity by working with a multidisciplinary team to bring in new customers and drive awareness and consideration for our portfolio of financial products.

You'll have the chance to collaborate with our data team, our Marketing Engineers, our Product Marketers, Writers, creative teams, and external agencies to help us take Monzo into our next phase of growth.
The Role
You will:
- Construct, implement, and manage Monzo's programmatic advertising strategy for our range of financial products in the UK
- Manager and grow our existing partners while also looking to see which new innovate digital advertising relationships or formats we should be considering
- Execute and troubleshoot campaigns within platform, ensuring ad delivery and quality are of the highest calibre
- Analyse publishers and inventory and develop data-driven audience targeting propositions so we are bidding for the right customers
- Collaborate with teams across the business such as Brand, Product Marketing and Creative on various forms of different marketing campaigns, from ATL, BTL to TTL
- Act as Programmatic and Digital Media buying centre of excellence, providing guidance, support and recommendations for the business
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Monzo's AdTech stack and ensure we are futureproofed to adapt to industry changes and developments
- Work closely with Data Science and Engineering teams on marketing measurement in the context of the overall funnel, doubling down on what works

- 5+ years of experience in the digital advertising sector, either client or agency side, with a focus on programmatic media buying
- Comprehensive experience operating and troubleshooting different AdTech platforms and ad servers
- Expert knowledge of the Programmatic industry having managed relationships with key DSPs, SSPs and Publishers
- Full grasp of the digital media ecosystem and landscape and how a brand should effectively operate within it
- Demonstrate clear understanding of utilising different creative formats such as Display, Video, Native, CTV
- Proven success of supporting and delivering complex brand campaigns on time and of the highest quality
- Take a 'test and learn' approach and love agile ways of working
- Like to use data to tell a story about performance and understand how our customers engage with us
The Interview Process:
Our interview process involves three main stages:
- Recruiter Call (30mins) via a Phone Call
- Initial Call (30 mins) via Google Meet
- Role Specific Interview (1hour) & a Values (Behavioural) Interview (45minutes) via Google Meet

Salary is between £60,000 - £80,000 (dependant on experience) ➕ stock options
This role will be based out of our London office next to Liverpool Street station in a hybrid approach of office based and home working or on a fully remote basis
