The shift pattern for this position is varied, 365/year, 24/7 average 5 days per 7.
NHSGGC North East Radiology is currently inviting applicants for an MRI Lead Radiographer based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a rotation to other sites within the sector. This is an opportunity for an experienced, motivated and hardworking individual to lead MRI Imaging Services. The successful candidate will work closely with the local management team to develop and deliver a quality patient focused service and lead on staff training and education in those areas.
You will be key to lead the development and implementation of clinical and professional standards e.g. review of imaging protocols in line with best practice, whilst ensuring the highest standard of patient care is delivered.
You will be responsible for day to day management, overseeing quality assurance standards to ensure they are effected, documented and acted on as appropriate. Additional delegated management duties will also form part of this role.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with the local university to provide an innovative learning environment for all undergraduate and post graduate students on placement whilst having a commitment to supporting and developing staff.
We currently have 2 MRI scanners within Glasgow Royal Infirmary and have future development plans, which this role will be essential in driving forward.
