Hours: 37.5 Hours Per week, 4 x 0800-1800 shifts – possible weekend GP lists
Pay rate: £16.84 - £26.95
If you are a Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographer and looking for an exciting new position, look no further...Southern Health are looking for an experienced diagnostic radiographer with experience in plain film and theatres to join their dynamic radiology service within Lymington Hospital in the New Forest.

Within the role you will be performing a range of X-ray procedures, producing high quality diagnostic X-ray images and providing excellent patient care whilst maintaining a commitment to continuing professional development and a high level of technical and theoretical skills.
Responsibilities:

- To perform complex radiographic procedures to a high quality standard, contributing to the delivery of an effective and responsive radiology service
- To be responsible for ensuring that important and often life threatening information seen on the images is communicated to the referring team / reporting radiologist or senior radiographer for immediate action
- To act as a Practitioner and operator under IR(ME)R 2000 for Digital Radiography examinations – primary responsibility to optimise the practical aspects of the exposure for which they are responsible
- Utilise a wide range of radiographic techniques to a high-quality standard and have the ability to modify these techniques when appropriate, taking into account the patient’s condition
- Ensure ongoing competency when working independently in theatres and undertaking mobile radiography, identify any shortfalls to a senior member of staff
- Use equipment safely and appropriately, and report any malfunctions to the appropriate senior staff
- Always ensure the care and comfort of patients in the department
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
· In-date HCPC registration
· Knowledge of PACS/CRIS
· Significant experience in plain film and theatres
· Computer literate
