AWE are currently seeking a DFIR Analyst to investigate Cyber Security events and/or incidents and using the appropriate software. Generate actionable reports to provide insight into the potential or actual deviation from relevant Company policies.
Location - Reading
Salary - £35,840 - £45,000 per annum

Key Accountabilities:
- Provide a Digital Forensic incident response investigation capability.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
- Additional accountabilities for this job profile may be defined and appointed through the Chief Engineer Management Arrangements, with appointees listed within the Company Design Authorities and Technical Authorities, as held in the company management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate Cyber security events and/or incidents.
- Provide technical investigative input into Company investigations.
- Provide technical investigative input into Human Resources (HR), Personnel Security and Security investigations.
- Support the development of the Security Intelligence picture.
- Carry out open source research to assist investigations and the security intelligence picture.
- Inspire and develop People
- Leads Innovation: Maintains technical skills to allow AWE to benefit from new and emerging technologies in order to make supportive decisions.
- The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
You Will Have:
- Digital Forensic Incident Response qualifications ENCE/MCFE/GCFA/GCFE/CFSR, or equivalent experience.
- Been responsible for forensic investigations or incident response within a large organisation or across multiple customers.
- An in depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations around digital investigations
- An Incident Response/Investigation role in a large commercial company, government, security or military environment.
- Had exposure to security monitoring, auditing and investigation/ interrogation of IT systems.
All Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
