Junior/Graduate DevOps Engineer

This is a unique opportunity for an autonomous individual to join our team, supporting and building out our hybrid cloud and on-premise data warehouse and machine learning development environment. We primarily use Ubuntu Linux as our underlying operating system, upon which we run GlusterFS and Minio for storage, and MicroK8s for container orchestration. Our developers work in Juypter, supported by MLOps services, such as MLFlow. We use GitHub Actions to build our CI/CD pipelines. Our data warehouse is built on PostgreSQL and MongoDB. The Cloud portion of our infrastructure resides on AWS, and utilises VPNs for on-premise connectivity and developer remote working.

Skills and Competencies
Essential

• Extensive knowledge and experience of setting up and administering the Linux operating system, in particular the Ubuntu distribution.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, and VPN a distinct advantage.
• Experience building containerised microservice architectures within Kubernetes.
• Experience using GitHub, and in particular GitHub actions to construct CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to deliver to tight deadlines, be comfortable with technical challenges, interruptions, and uneven workloads.

Essential Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related discipline.
