Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Applied Physics, Materials Science, Optoelectronics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in a semiconductor fabrication technical environment.
  • 3 years of experience in advanced device architecture.


Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent in Applied Physics, Materials Science, Optoelectronics, or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of direct experience working in a semiconductor fabrication technical environment.
  • Experience with research and development experiments and advanced data analysis.
  • Expertise in optoelectronic device fabrication.
  • Expertise in optoelectronic device physics (such as LEDs, lasers, photovoltaics), including theory and experiments.
  • Expertise in analyzing overall device performance and optical properties such as light extraction.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$212,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop high-performance micro-LED emitters from end to end: from physical concepts and design to demonstrating device performance and manufacturability.
  • Conceive, fabricate and evaluate novel device architectures and fabrication processes.
  • Design, execute and analyze experiments to improve device performance.
  • Interact with teams including epitaxy, process engineering, characterization and test.
