Development Consultant
Glasgow
As a Barclays Development Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Talent and Development (T&D) demand management process. You will have an exciting chance to lead triage assigned development requests to fully understand, diagnose/analyse and scope requests for learning and development support, including resource implications. You will also partnership with the relevant business area/stakeholder to consult on and assist the creation of learning pathways, academies, and access to appropriate development solutions.

What will you be doing?
- Undertaking robust diagnosis, analysis and scoping of learning & development (L&D) demand, with the relevant business area/ stakeholder and colleagues across T&D
- Managing your assigned development demand, end to end, ensuring the standard global Curricula is leveraged as much as possible to meet business goals
- Ensuring that the diagnosis of learning needs is producing and maintaining valid information to drive learning pathways and/ or solutions, including clear resource requirements
- Identifying cross-business/ Barclays opportunities and synergies for co-ordinated action
- Building and maintaining relationships with T&D coverage leads, SMEs, HR and business stakeholders to prioritise design/ resource requirements and ensure strategic alignment
- Presenting recommendations on potential learning solutions to the business and managing stakeholder relationships as directed by leadership team
- Ensuring that any required spend is heavily scrutinised and supported with robust business cases, and is aligned to strategic priorities
- Experience in stakeholder engagement /management
- Experience in analysing and using data to inform training requirements /gaps
- Can demonstrate a deep understanding of business strategy and identify key development drivers to develop an effective learning strategy
- Experience of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Background in Learning & Development
- Excellent presentational skills
