One World are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our dynamic, innovative, high skilled team at our brand new office in Shoreditch. You will be expected to be the single point of contact for anything IT related in the office. A really exciting time for us a business, this is a great opportunity to be the first hire in the department, with lots of room for potential growth. This role requires an analytical, methodical thinker who enjoys problem solving and interacting with users.
Technologies deployed include Microsoft 365, Desktop/Laptop Windows 10 and Mac OS, VOIP telephony using 3CX, Mimecast, Intune, Android and iOS Devices.
Key Responsibilities
· Creating and Maintaining user accounts
· Troubleshooting and resolving desktop equipment and software access issues
· Ordering new tech equipment
· Setting-up and configuring new IT equipment
· Organising tech equipment to be delivered to employees homes for their home set up’s
· Ensuring One World employees have complied with the necessary IT forms
· Maintaining and upgrading existing user equipment
· Installing and configuring operating systems and computer software
· Troubleshooting basic network and connection issues
· Prioritising and managing logged issues
· Supporting the VOIP telephone systems and mobile phones
· Maintaining the Asset Database
· Disposal of ‘end of life’ equipment
· Contributing to IT related projects
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
· Understanding of IT Packages including, Microsoft Office, Thin Client IGEL, Desktop/Laptop Windows 10 and Mac OS, Citrix (application delivery) and VOIP telephony using 3CX is preferable
· 3+ years in a similar role
· Driven and self-motivated
· Proactive problem-solving capability
· Flexible and adaptable
· Able to work to deadlines and meet targets
· Excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner
· Team Player but also able to work independently to understand issues and provide solutions
· You don’t mind doing the work, whatever it is – you can see the impact at the end and you are in it for the long haul
· Ability to think clearly under pressure
· Sound decision making capabilities
· Awareness of, and interest in IT
· Happy to be in the office 5 days a week if there are meetings taking place that may require IT support or more complex IT set up
