Working pattern/flexible working - We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Womenswear Designer team aims for around 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role is based on our Victoria Campus.
Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £29,6000-£43,600
Contract type - This is a fixed term contract for 12 months
About the role
The Womenswear design team is a close-knit team of passionate, highly skilled Partners. As a Designer for the John Lewis brand in this space, you will have ownership for the areas of responsibility.
As a Designer specifically looking after Women’s Knitwear, Jersey & Outerwear, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering original, relevant, customer-centric and distinct best in class own brand products.
In this role you will be utilising customer insights, to inspire, excite and delight our customers & deliver planned growth for Women’s Knitwear, Jersey & Outerwear.
In addition, you will take a supporting role in design projects, working independently, alongside or in collaboration with the Designer and Trading community.
Essential skills you’ll need
Extensive proven experience of designing womenswear predominantly Knitwear, Jersey & Outerwear
Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the John Lewis & Partners brand, the values and potential for products
Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
