ABOUT ZENOBE
Our goal is to make clean power accessible, to accelerate the shift to zero carbon power and transport.
We’re transforming grids to enable the take up of more renewables, electrifying fleets for cleaner air, repurposing electric vehicle batteries for clean portable power and using proprietary software and data analysis to optimise operational performance for our customers.
We have 435 MW of grid scale battery capacity either operational or under construction and over 30% of the UK’s EV buses, and are expanding our operations in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Europe. We’re a rapidly growing company looking for talented people to join us.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a commercially minded Integrated Designer who will be responsible for shaping Zenobe’s visual identity as we grow across market sectors and as we expand internationally.
In this new role you will brief, create and curate engaging and visually appealing branded content in alignment with the marketing strategy and calendar. The content will include photographs, videos (video editing skills included), infographics, animations, brochures, guides, reports, sales decks, board reports and more.
Main responsibilities will be:
- Shaping the identity and continuing to develop the brand guidelines, including supporting the implementation of our branding on live project sites
- Research and creation of briefs and mood boards for visual output
- Creating or briefing artwork across organic and paid channels such as website, social, email marketing etc.
- Creating or briefing assets for a variety of other marketing, PR and business needs such as training packs, marketing decks, presentations etc.
- Retouching of images and videos
- Creating small, snappy visual content inhouse for internal comms (easy to understand graphs, illustrations of data insights, voxpops, 1 min interviews)
- Collaborating with freelancers/agencies when required:
- Art direction for outsourced visual artwork, including film and animation and oversight of photo shoots. Overseeing post-production process for photos and videos as required.
- Managing briefs, budgets and timelines for this
- Working with partners (funders, suppliers etc.) on collaborative projects
- Management and upkeep of all creative assets including upkeep of files and server access, visual licensing and external model approvals
The successful candidate may also be asked to help support the marketing team on other projects as needed.
A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY
- Developing templates that the whole company can use to promote Zenobe services
- Creating a 20 second interview with a founder to go on the intranet about a particular Zenobe event or news story
- Approving a proof for branding a fleet of our electric vehicles or across a battery storage site and liaising with
- Briefing an agency on an animation to represent a new or current Zenobe offering
- Working with US counterparts to design sales collateral for a specific regional market
- Working across Zenobe to build a brief for the next photoshoot
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- A belief in the use of creativity for good and more specifically for making clean power accessible – a desire to use your talents to drive and inspire change
- Very strong graphic design skills
- Excellent layout, typography and retouching skills
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premier Pro/After Effects
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Powerpoint & Word
- Understanding and experience working with print processes
- Strong eye for design
- Interest in a cool, modern aesthetic aligned with our brand
- Strong attention to detail and visual understanding of a brand’s DNA.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines, and experience in briefing creative collaborators
- Good network of on-brand and in-budget creative collaborators (photographers, videographers, casting ideas, studios etc)
- Collaborative team player, actively contributing to meetings and creative brainstorming.
- Experience in a fast-paced, work environment, eager to learn and grow.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written).
