About the role

The Dune Group is looking for a talented, enthusiastic and hardworking Junior handbag and accessories designer join its busy design team. An established fashion brand with thirty years in the industry, this is an exciting and dynamic role working alongside the footwear design and buying team in delivering bespoke, feminine and beautiful collections that really capture the seasonal trends. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience.


About you

What we need from you:

  • Passion for design and an eye for detail
  • To be able to offer original ideas to evolve brand best sellers.
  • Support the senior designer in developing product that is right for the market level
  • An understanding of the buying process & critical paths
  • Researching trends, new materials & trims with an ability to collate and focus key messages
  • Sketch and CAD skills to help produce clear and concise specifications to brief to factories
  • Develop excellent relationships with other head office departments

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Graduate caliber with a flair for design with great creativity and imagination
  • PC literate with a good knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop & PowerPoint
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work across a number of projects at any one time
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work cross-functionally and with external suppliers at all levels
  • Good writing skills, use of language and grammar
