Creative Team Manager/Senior Designer

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our award-winning Creative Team as a Senior Designer and Team Manager. You will join us as an individual who is looking to build, shape and nurture the Creative Team to become the best it can be whilst continuing to develop your own skills in design and creative interpretation. Role

We’re looking for someone who has strong design skills, can tell great stories through a visual medium with expertise in brand development, developing creative concepts from briefs, pitching your ideas and executing them with confidence and conviction.

You will be part of a team of great designers, illustrators and animators, who you will work collaboratively with and support with their workflow and skill acquisition as the team leader.

Your responsibilities will include:

Team management

  • Confident and competent in managing a small creative team including workload management and project allocation based on skills and capacity. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgets.
  • Support career development, implementing and monitoring training opportunities for the team
  • Support further development and implementation of agency-wide processes, and ensure they are being adhered to, maintaining high standards and giving feedback where team members may not be performing
  • Leading ongoing team 121s, including appraisals and setting objectives, and working with team members to achieve their goals.

Creative and design responsibilities

  • Interpretation of briefs and developing concepts
  • Client liaison and pitching new creative ideas
  • Delivering engaging and eye-catching design
  • Building brands, from initial brand development through to brand evolution
  • Producing content for social media, print and other media
  • Participating in briefing sessions and studio discussions
  • Working with the in-house account management team
  • Collaborating with the in-house business development team to develop ideas and executions for pitches
  • Taking work through to publication on and offline

Skills and experience

  • Senior Designer level
  • Minimum five + years’ industry experience
  • Strong contemporary portfolio
  • Illustration, brand design, animation would be an advantage
  • Developing creative briefs ino concepts and execution
  • Self-motivation and a passion to develop further as a senior designer
  • A genuine interest in creating work that challenges attitudes, changes minds and makes a difference
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Creativity, confidence and enthusiasm

Salary: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
