Editions Financial (EF) is the UK’s leading specialist financial services Content Marketing agency. We work with a growing number of the world’s leading financial brands across a number of financial sub-sectors. Established in 1996, the agency has recently experienced a sustained period of growth and is now looking to expand its impressive team with the important appointment of a Junior Designer.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an individual who can straddle the world of digital and print. Strong portfolio demonstrating a key eye for detail including some if not all of the following: microsites, apps, banners, emails, mobile, magazine design, print collateral, infographics, websites. The role will see the candidate work across different sectors from initial concepts to final delivery. Proficiency in rationalising your work to the team is as important as time spent in front of a Mac. This is a hybrid role working at our Leeds office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand project requirements and concepts Collaborate with team members to launch projects Use feedback from other designers to improve Pitch creative ideas Support the designers in the studio with fast and accurate amends to client work based on brand guidelines. Take briefs from the relevant Account Manager Take those briefs and turning them into visuals or concepts Final art working and output of the visuals or concepts Work alongside colleagues and departments, offering support and ideas
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• One year of experience as a Junior Designer • Experience with Adobe CC software, particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Experience using Adobe XD is desirable • Good working knowledge of MS PowerPoint • Knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS) beneficial, but not essential • Teamwork skills • A keen eye for detail • Time management and multitasking abilities • Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude • BSc/BA in Design or a related field Desirable: Educated to HND/degree standard, with a minimum of 1-year experience in a design agency environment.
