Job Title: Design/ Programme Manager
Salary: £65,000- £75,000 dependent upon experience
Location: London/ Remote
Aeropeople are currently recruiting a Design/ Programme Manager on behalf of our client, a multinational design company operating in the transportation, interiors and product design fields.
With more than 30 years’ experience, their design portfolio spans interiors for premium resorts and hotels, aircraft cabins and lounges for major airlines and interiors for the world’s most luxurious trains. They also specialise in new product design as well as interiors for leading healthcare and wellness brands. From offices in London, Singapore and Dubai, their multi-disciplinary teams cover a range of skills from ideation and concept development to industrial design, branding and programme delivery.
The Design/ Programme Manager will have approximately 12 direct reports, mainly consisting of designers working on Phase 2 of a large aviation programme and 8 aircraft types. You will be responsible for managing the client as well as anything up to 5 vendors.
The expectation is that on site attendance in the London studio one day per week is required, otherwise this will be a remote role. The successful candidate should expect overseas travel, sometimes at short notice.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead customer meetings and record and expedite actions on the company and client
- Actively engage with client on macro planning (major milestones) and 3-month look-ahead
- Understand briefs and develop a project execution plan based on client milestones
- Coordinate with Creative Director on planning and priorities
- Attend design meetings with vendors, record and expedite action and communicate action priorities to client
- Engage with the design team to resolve any design issues
- Coordinate CMF, industrial design and visualisation work within the team to achieve programme
- Monitor for scope creep and raise early warnings to client where cost or programme impact arises
- Participate in preparation and delivery of presentations to client
- Oversee the product development at vendors to ensure that the design intent is not compromised.
- Salary up to £75,000 dependent on experience
- 25 holiday days plus bank holidays

About You:
- Aviation experience required – knowledge of programme milestones and development timelines needed
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced creative studio
- Design experienced not required but a creative background is preferred
- Must be comfortable leading discussions in this client leading role
- Use of Microsoft Office and project tracking software required
- Use of Adobe CC beneficial
