Crux design and develop products for the biggest brands in the medical, consumer and performance goods sectors. Our multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers and technologists work together to tackle the toughest briefs and deliver innovations that will perform in the real world. We offer our placement students the opportunity to develop and grow their skills; working across the entire design process with a range of exciting clients in a lively Bristol studio.

What we’re looking for

• Excellent sketching and concept generation skills
• CAD, rendering and visualisation knowledge
• An understanding of prototyping and manufacture processes
• An interest in ergonomics, human factors and UX
• Excellent presentation, graphics and communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Great attention to detail

Principal Responsibilities

• Sketching your designs to communicate with others
• Development of concepts in CAD and prototyping
• 3D visualisation of concepts for presentations
• Working with engineers to develop your designs
• Be able to produce clear, concise written presentations
• Assist with research and human factors studies
• Presenting ideas to colleagues and clients
