A bit about what you’d be doing
As a Design Manager it’s your role to lead and deliver a variety of project types and sizes, through all phases.
- Coordinating all the design work required for this key client project
- Coordination between the architectural, MEP and structural elements of the project
- Ensuring all work is in line with current legislation and industry standards
- Liaising with the specific project leader regarding the overall project, the projects drawing programme / release schedule and the assignment of drawings tasks
- Working closely with other members of the project team to deliver the tasks and attend meetings when required
- Liaising with external consultants, design Sub-contractors or suppliers and coordinating the input from various disciplines
- Attending site meetings
- Site inspections
- Contribute to Project reports
- Producing sample schedules
What we need you to bring to the table…
- Excellent client-facing skills in a Design Manager capacity
- AutoCAD & Revit understanding
- BIM understanding
- Ability to produce schedules in Excel
- UK site experience, knowledge of UK building and CDM regulations
- Out-going, professional and success focused attitude to work
- A genuine team-player with the ability to work independently when required
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of interior design / architectural projects
- Experience managing consultant teams and resolving complex technical and design issues
- Be proactive and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
