We offer a full range of temporary access solutions, from conventional tube and fitting and system scaffolding, to Mastclimbers and Hoists from our mechanical access divisions.

Job Details
- Summer Internship 2023 (June - August or July - September)
- Duration: 10-12 weeks
- Location: Birmingham - Garretts Green Trading Estate, Valepits Road, Birmingham, B33 0TJ
- Working Hours: 39 hours a week (Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm with an hour lunch or 8am-4.30pm with a 30 minute lunch)
- Salary: £21,500.00 per annum (pro-rata)
Based in our Birmingham office as a Design Engineer summer intern you will be part of a national team that undertakes the design and detailing of a wide variety of temporary access solutions, from scaffold structures to mastclimbers and hoists. You will have the opportunity to visit different sites and projects across the country during your time with us.
What you will be doing
- Drawing concept and preliminary detailed designs using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Producing structural/engineering calculations using Excel to calculate weights and materials.
- Producing sketches using AutoCAD and Revit as well as hand sketching of scaffolding designs.
- Site/project visits and inspections.
What to bring with you
- On track to complete a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
