The role
IDC are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled student who can assist in delivering creative and technical output.
- Designing & developing technical product solutions across a wide range of products, from concept through to production ready.
- Creative and technical idea generation based on preliminary research and sound engineering principles
- Supplier liaison, prototyping and testing
- Concept brainstorming and detailed design from concept to production with high attention to detail
- 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks)
You are:
- Motivated, curious and passionate about design & engineering
- A creative, collaborative and flexible team-player
- Able to think broadly to generate ideas and develop a justified point of view
- Able to present clearly and concisely and explain design and engineering decisions
- A hands-on engineer happy at a CAD station or in the prototype workshop
- A go-getter with a passion for understanding how things work
This is a paid, fixed-term placement which will run for one year from Summer 2023.
