RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking a growth oriented mid-career to experienced candidate to be part of our clients engineering team in the Omaha, Nebraska area. You will work with our clients engineering staff to provide highly engineered design solutions for off-road equipment using state of the art engineering tools. - This is a direct hire position for the client facilitated by RFA Engineering.

Design Engineer II

• Participate in simultaneous engineering efforts to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness across divisional plants
• Perform engineering tasks associated with new development and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with other engineers and cross functional teams including sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and service
• Use CAD Software to assist in the 3-D Modeling of components, sheet metal and possibly hydraulic routings, including light analysis of structural components
• Create, check, and maintain thorough engineering specifications and drawings
• Manage engineering changes per establish company procedures
• Be a technical resource as needed to support other departmental needs
• Develop business relationships with customers, dealers, and suppliers which may include travel domestic and international

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, Mechatronics, industrial Engineering or related Engineering Discipline
• Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies
• Experience with manufacturing processes including welding, fabrication, or assembly of heavy structural steel
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Desired Attributes

• Experience in 3-D Modeling Software - SolidWorks Preferred
• Understanding of automation technologies including robotics and mobile autonomy
• Desire to work in an engineering environment focusing on robust & cost-effective designs
