You have completed a Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical engineering, or a related engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have strong technical problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, have worked in an engineering role for at least 0-2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

Your Opportunity
This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Early Career Core Design Engineer, Thermal Hydraulics Applications in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the BWR Core Design Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. You will be responsible to prepare and apply nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulic models for plant safety analyses and be involved in the preparation of engineering documents (calculations, reports, functional requirements, Final Safety Analysis Reports, etc.) in support of emergent issues, fuel reloads, proposed changes in fuel designs or operating strategies and evaluate changes in analytical methods. Typical assignments include:
- Analyses performed to support reload core design and licensing, assess proposed changes in fuel designs or operating strategies, resolve plant operation issues, or evaluate changes in analytical methods.
- Work as part of a team that includes engineers from other departments and Codes and Methods development engineers as well as Project Managers responsible for different BWR/PWR fuel reload customers.
- Interface with and interaction with BWR/PWR customers. This activity usually starts as soon as basic reload design and analysis engineering capabilities have been established.

Your Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $67,000 - $87,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
