Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components. They will work closely with other engineers and technicians to ensure that designs are optimized for performance, reliability, and manufacturability. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related to designs and testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for various applications.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure that designs are optimized for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Perform simulation and analysis to validate designs and identify potential issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to designs and testing procedures.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to designs, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in mechanical design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis software such as ANSYS or COMSOL would be preferred but not necessary
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design standards.
  • Experience with Driverworks and Ilogic for automating design processes.
  • Experience with automation using equations, API and C#.Net for SolidWorks or other CAD software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Experience with product testing and validation.
